If you have ever had the chance to see a 1500 plus horsepower engine start using a 36 or 48 volt aircraft starter directly engaged into the front of the engine, chances are it is a drive jaw like this batch for Sassy Racing Engines transmitting the power. This starter cage will fit all of the "standard" starter brackets as well as the TC MACHINE large pulley beltguard. Most starter cages engage the threads of a 1/2 inch bolt against the starter bracket causing damage from the first use. The TC MACHINE starter cage uses a stainless post without threads at the engagement area to prevent this damage. The torsional brace provides unsurpased strength. There is also an optional billet handle that is not pictured. |
